The workshop’s craft
These photographs show my former workshop in France, which is now closed. They illustrate my saddle and saddle-tree making while the Mongolian workshop is being prepared. They do not show the current workshop.

Cut and prepare.
The leather area is used to cut and prepare the saddle’s parts before assembly. Components and finishes are assessed for the model and your enquiry.
Explore leather and colours ↗Shape the tree.
Machining wood requires precise cuts and checks to build a straight tree. Its geometry is chosen for the horse and the intended use.
Explore Boisflex-Lin ↗Combine the materials.
Gluing and working with flax and resin take place in an area where temperature and humidity are monitored. This stage contributes to the Boisflex-Lin structure.
Explore materials and finished saddles.
The leather and colour guide presents materials by origin, examples of finished saddles and care advice. It accompanies our workshop finishes page.
